I heard this phrase Bible Scavenger and it caught my attention and I said Wow. A Bible Scavenger is someone who picks out verses that make them feel good like a self help therapy and even worse they surround themselves with teachers and preachers who do the same. It almost feels like they are attracted to each other.
I don't know about you but I don't want to ve a Bible Scavenger so I choose to heed what 2 Timothy 2:15-16 says "do all you can to present yourself to God as someone worthy of his approval, as a worker with no need to be ashamed, because he deals straightforwardly with the Word of the Truth.
